My husband likes gifts that he can really use. Check out some of his suggestions. He recommends these as they either save time, may be compact-easy to carry, or just perform well. Here are a few of his most highly rated items. (And I admit, I use most of these too and find them very useful.)
This might just be the right gift for someone special this year. About two years ago, my husband gave me the AirPod Pro ear buds. I really did not think I would like them, but used them as they had been a gift. Wow was I wrong! Now that I use them for most phone calls, I can’t imagine being on the phone without them. I do admit that keeping up with the small ear buds has not been easy for me.

The good news is that the newest version AirPod Pro 2 allows you to find them easier. Now, you can use Find My to locate the case or the left or right earbuds separately should one or all of them go missing (the buds use Bluetooth Low Energy or BLE for tracking). The case also now has a spot for attaching a lanyard.
Here are some waterproof and drop proof cases that keep these tiny earbuds protected. The case has a carabiner to easily hook on your bag or belt. Being able to hook it onto my purse was super helpful. Here is a link to CNET’s review of the newest version of the AirPod Pro 2.

This little keychain light puts out up to 300 lumens of light! You can charge it with a micro-USB cable (comes with light) – plug into a vehicle or wall charger. You can see it here at SureFire .

This device is small and so easy to use and read. It’s designed for chefs and professionals. You get a super fast reading. Everyone one we have gifted this to has loved it. Priced at $21.00 it is an affordable gift. Find the ThermoPop here .

This is a great gift for the serious griller in the family. It is perfect for cooks who use the Big Green Egg and other smokers. Just put the probe into the meat and connect to your smart device thru Bluetooth and hear your alarms using the new mobile app. This one is priced at $69.00 and can be found here.
ThermoWorks is the Company who makes them. (Careful if you order from other places, there are some knock offs that are cheaper but they do not have the quality.)

You might like the AirTag to keep up with your stuff. You can attach to your keys, luggage, backpack, etc…It takes a few minutes to set up on the Find My app and you can track down the missing item. Or you can say “Hey Siri find my keys.” These devices send the location of your AirTag to iCloud — then you can go to the Find My app and see it on a map. I use mine from time to time to find my keys! The whole process is anonymous and encrypted to protect your privacy. And itʼs efficient, so thereʼs no need to worry about battery life or data usage. The Air Tags start at $29.00 here at Apple. You may find Air Tags at other retailers as well.
