Reflections on 2024: Family, Friends, Travels, and Real Estate
As the year draws to a close, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on all that 2024 has broughtโboth the joys and challengesโand share updates from my life, family, and work. I hope it makes you smile and inspires you to reflect on your special moments from 2024.
Travel Adventures
Most of our travel this year revolved around spending time with family, and weโre so grateful for the memories made along the way.
Palm Beach, FL
We kicked off the year with a visit to Palm Beach to celebrate my sister-in-lawโs birthday. She and my brother-in-law are such wonderful hosts, and we had the best time exploring the area. Highlights included a beautiful Intracoastal Waterway tour and a fascinating visit to the Navy Seal Museum.

Los Angeles, CA
Later in the summer, we traveled to Los Angeles to visit our son Gregory and his wife Kris. We loved staying at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel and soaking in all LA offers. Gregory and Kris were the best tour guides, showing us Paramount Pictures, Beverly Hills, the Petersen Automotive Museum, Santa Monica, the Getty Museum, and so much more! My favorite part of the trip? Catalina Islandโsuch a beautiful experience!

We are so proud of Gregory and Kris, who are thriving in their careers in hospitality and entertainment. Spending time with them and exploring their city was a highlight of our year.
Family Updates
This year, we are incredibly thankful for good health and exciting news within our family.
- Johnโs nieces are both expecting babies next yearโa double blessing we canโt wait to celebrate!
- Our daughter Catherine continues to shine in her nursing career as an ICU nurse. She was presented with the Daisey Award for Ethics for her hospital.
- My sister celebrated a milestone birthday, and we surprised her with a fun-filled party that brought so much joy.

Personal Losses and Reflections
This year brought some heartaches, reminding us of the preciousness of life, health, and the importance of cherishing loved ones.
- My dear friend Margo faced a breast cancer diagnosis with courage and grace. After surgery and radiation treatments, she is now cancer-freeโa true champion!
- Sadly, two longtime friends lost their husbands this year. Sam Brown and Patrice Gaubert were extraordinary men who touched the lives of many. Their kindness, humor, and character left a lasting impact, and they are deeply missed by all who knew them.
Even in loss, I am reminded of the importance of holding onto memories and treasuring the connections that make life so meaningful.

Good Times and Celebrations
Amidst the challenges, there were so many moments of joy and celebration:
- We toasted Joe Ferstโs retirement from Deloitte at a fantastic party that honored his impressive career and legacy.
- In Clayton, GA, we attended the beautiful wedding of Jeremy and Hannah Spielman. Reconnecting with โThe Momsโโfriends from our kidsโ early school daysโwas an extra special treat.
- I even tried something new this year: sailing! A big thanks to my friend Robin for an unforgettable day on the lake.

Our neighborhood in Waterford Green continues to bring us so much happiness. From Halloween fun to festive holiday parties, we cherish the vibrant community we call home.

Real Estate Reflections
2024 was a challenging year for real estate, with the lowest turnover rate in the U.S. in over 30 years. Yet, through it all, Iโm incredibly proud of my clients’ successes. Helping one family at a time stayed at the heart of everything I did. Reflecting on this past year, my heart is filled with gratitude for my clients’ trust in me. Thereโs nothing more fulfilling than guiding people to find their perfect home and building meaningful relationships along the wayโit’s work I truly love and feel honored to do.

Looking Ahead with Gratitude
Grateful for 2024, Excited for 2025
As I reflect on 2024, Iโm filled with gratitude for the relationships that made this year so meaningfulโfamily, friends, and the connections built through my work.
As we step into 2025, I wish you and your loved ones a joyful holiday season and a fresh year full of possibilities. Letโs cherish lifeโs little moments, celebrate the milestones, and look ahead with hope.

Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, and warm wishes for the New Year!
