The Revival of the Ranch home with a rustic touch

Ranch homes are making a comeback. You ask why? First of all, baby boomers who once thought the McMansions were the best ever are now having a hard time going up and down stairs and taking care of large homes. Older ranch houses built in the suburbs during the 50s and 60s are now getting a second look from both the young and old.

In the East Cobb area, we have pockets of older neighborhoods that have ranch homes. Quite often, the lots are larger than that of homes built in the 90s and early 2000s. Younger buyers are looking for fenced in backyards for pets and kids. Many of these older ranch style homes fit the bill for them as well!
